A BiPAP with Therapy Setting Tuning Mode
With the Therapy setting Tuning Mode, SwasthVayu can be on different modes such as Stand by, CPAP, Bi-timed, Bi-S timed.
The SwasthVayu will be in standby mode during power ON. The Pressure setting is zero in this mode and the blower will be off. While in the CPAP mode the pressure setting is fixed based on a set value. It also provides an option of timed breath delivery with Pressure Support Ventilation. In Bi-Timed the unit cycles between the IPAP and EPAP levels are based solely on the timing intervals. Inspiration time (TI) shall be computed based on preset interval determined by the Breaths per Minute (BPM) and Inspiration Exhalation Ratio (I:E Ratio). In the Bi-S Timed mode the unit cycles between the IPAP and EPAP levels in response to patient triggering. This mode synchronizes patient breath cycle with the ventilation mechanism. If the patient fails to initiate an inspiration or exhalation, the unit shall cycle to IPAP or EPAP based on a preset interval determined by BPM (Breaths per Minute).
